Thank goodness for little boys!!!

Oh my goodness.. I have had a "special" couple of days. Jackson is teething, so he is really cranky. Yesterday, he was just on one. He would not sleep, so we played peek-a-boo for it seemed like 10 hours, he ate popsicles, and fruit snacks, he decided nothing in the cupboards belonged so he rearranged most of them. He pushed his highchair all over the kitchen and ripped off all the bibs from the back... He likes to show mom his big ol muscles.. and he is tall enough to touch the burners on the stove.. so he was testing his height :)
So he was looking tired, and I had to get dinner together for the missionaries.. I put him in his crib. He cried for a little while then he got REALLY quiet.. that is NEVER a good thing. So dinner was done and I walked into his room, and it smelled like a landfill.... he had pooood all out his outfit.. huge BLOW OUT.. the Elders were going to be at my house in like 15 minutes.. Really Jackson... could you have picked a better time. So I strip him down, and throw everything in the wash, he gets a bath and I spray my house with disinfectant :) and air freshener.... Dinner is kinda on the burnt side, but the Elders arrived, the house was kinda clean and my wonderful husband brings french bread and salad.. Dinner was good.. I love having the Elders over... It is always nice to re focus.
Today was a better day, I was cleaning the floor and Jackson comes over looks at me and just gives me the biggest hug EVER.. he has never done that. I got teary eyed.... He is such a special little man.. I love him. Although, sometimes he is an ONLY child.. we will have more some day.. not too soon!!!

We're going through the same thing.....TEETHING! Isn't it terrible? It seems to make him cranky, not sleep, and that makes me cranky and not getting sleep either which is never a good thing! At least he made it up by being so sweet! Little boys really are the best!

It's a good thing little boys know how to 'help' their mommy's. And then again it's a good thing that they fall asleep and you can look at them and remember just how cute and lovable they are!
