My little Jack in the Box

I love my little guy SO much. He is hilarious. He took out ALL his toys from his toy box and got inside, I was laughing SO hard. Here are some pictures.. Enjoy

The biggest ADRENALINE Rush EVER!!

So on Friday Brad and I get a call that they need us to go pick up a wayward teenager that needed to go to boarding school. Well this teenager was a girl so Brad needed a girl to go with him, so that means ME. I was freaking out to say the least, I was like "What if I have to kick her butt?" "What if she tries to run or pulls a knife on me?" These kids that Brad goes to get sometimes are NOT the best kids in the world. They are into drugs, drinking and other extra curricular activies. So I sucked it up, and we dropped our little Jackson off to Grandma and Grandpas. We left Saturday night at 11:30pm, in our rented HUMMER..I always wanted to drive one and the expenses were all paid.. why not. So we picked her up at 2:00am, I was about to wet myself when we went into her room. The minute I saw her, I was like I could take her :) She was soo tiny. She was perfect the whole time. We drove to Thomas Falls, MT, that is about 10 hours away. It was a long day, we did not get home until 12am Monday. It was the most touching experience I have had in a long time, I never thought it would have turned out that way. She was so special, she just did not have a good life. She had it really rough. When we left I cried and cried because she was so scared. I just felt so extremely grateful for the life I have and how there have been soo many people that have helped me along the way. You never know whos life you will touch. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life and the structure it brings. I will always remember that "wayward" teenager and what she taught me and how much she meant to me in such a short time I spent with her.

Fun at the Coast

A couple weeks ago, we went to the coast with our dear friends Tamara, Marcus and Andy. We had so much fun. It was a long drive, but well worth it. The weather was perfect. It was a little windy, but awesome. It was a great day!!! Oregon is the best, the beach is 2 hours away and so are the mountains. But you can swim in the water unless you want hyperthermia :) I love my little family, well my boys are NOT so little :)

Thank goodness for little boys!!!

Oh my goodness.. I have had a "special" couple of days. Jackson is teething, so he is really cranky. Yesterday, he was just on one. He would not sleep, so we played peek-a-boo for it seemed like 10 hours, he ate popsicles, and fruit snacks, he decided nothing in the cupboards belonged so he rearranged most of them. He pushed his highchair all over the kitchen and ripped off all the bibs from the back... He likes to show mom his big ol muscles.. and he is tall enough to touch the burners on the stove.. so he was testing his height :)
So he was looking tired, and I had to get dinner together for the missionaries.. I put him in his crib. He cried for a little while then he got REALLY quiet.. that is NEVER a good thing. So dinner was done and I walked into his room, and it smelled like a landfill.... he had pooood all out his outfit.. huge BLOW OUT.. the Elders were going to be at my house in like 15 minutes.. Really Jackson... could you have picked a better time. So I strip him down, and throw everything in the wash, he gets a bath and I spray my house with disinfectant :) and air freshener.... Dinner is kinda on the burnt side, but the Elders arrived, the house was kinda clean and my wonderful husband brings french bread and salad.. Dinner was good.. I love having the Elders over... It is always nice to re focus.
Today was a better day, I was cleaning the floor and Jackson comes over looks at me and just gives me the biggest hug EVER.. he has never done that. I got teary eyed.... He is such a special little man.. I love him. Although, sometimes he is an ONLY child.. we will have more some day.. not too soon!!!
